THE HOUSE

Her Legacy, Our Beginning

Before Maison M was a house, there was Michele.
A mother, a hairdresser, a businesswoman and, to everyone who knew her, a source of warmth and love.

She taught my sister and me to love our hair, our skin and ourselves especially in a world that doesn’t always teach Black girls to see their beauty.

Maison M is my way of carrying those lessons forward.

Beauty With Intention

My mum taught me that beauty isn’t vanity.

It is identity. It is confidence. It is culture. It is knowing who you are and loving yourself deeply.

Those lessons are woven into Maison M.

From the hair we source to the way we create each piece, the House is built around beauty, quality and intention.

Rooted in Legacy

Maison M is a luxury beauty house rooted in heritage, craftsmanship and timeless femininity.

The “M” represents Michele — the woman whose love, strength and beauty inspired the house.

Maison M was created from a belief that beauty is more than appearance. It is memory, identity, confidence and the rituals passed from one generation to the next.

Love letter to Mama

For Michele

My mum. My first home. My first teacher. My first understanding of beauty.

I lost my mum when I was twelve.

There are so many moments I wish she could have been here for. Moments where I wanted her voice, her hands, her reassurance. But when I think of my mum, I don’t want to remember only the day she left.

I want to remember the woman she was.

Before business and marketing, she was a hairdresser. My sister and I grew up in her hands. She taught us our hair, how to care for it, and most importantly, how to love it.

She taught us that being a Black girl was beautiful. That our skin was beautiful. Our hair was beautiful. Our features were beautiful.

She had a gift for making people feel loved. Through her words, her cooking, doing someone’s hair, or simply being there, she made people feel seen.

My mum was beautiful, but what made her truly beautiful was the way she made everyone else feel beautiful too.

When she left this earth, I didn’t just lose my mother. I lost the woman who taught me how to see myself.

But I carry her in the way I love, the way I care, the way I see beauty, and in the way I want other women to feel.

And that is where Maison M begins.

Not with hair.

With her.

Every strand carries something she taught me: that beauty is not vanity. It is identity, confidence, and knowing who you are.

Maison M is my love letter to her. To the woman who taught me to love my hair, love myself, and never forget my worth.

And as Maison M grows, I hope her legacy can become a source of love for others too, especially children who have lost their mothers giving them a space to feel cared for, seen and beautiful.

Because my mum gave love so freely.

I want her legacy to do the same.

For Michele.
For the women she loved.
For the women we are becoming.

Founded in legacy. Built in luxury.
